The Monte Clark Gallery is please to announce a solo exhibition by Vancouver artist, Roy Arden.

This exhibition presents recent black & white photographs by Vancouver artist Roy Arden. Life-scaled studies or details of urban phenomena and the human figure, these new works are perhaps more intimate than his previous pictures. Well known for his large colour photographs of the economic and historical realities of this region, Arden has exhibited nationally and internationally.

Recent exhibitions include Roy Arden - Selected Works 1985 - 2000 at l'espace Vox in Montreal (Aug.29 - Oct.27, 2002) and Shopping - Art & Consumer Culture at the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt (September 28 - December 1, 2002). An exhibition of Arden's recent video works at the Belkin Satellite Gallery in Vancouver will coincide with this exhibition (Oct 4 - Dec 1, 2002).
